Maroon 5 Wins Best Pop/Rock Band at American Music Awards!

Despite Maroon 5's noticeable absence at this year's American Music Awards (due to filming Saturday Night Live the previous night in New York City), fans everywhere were also discouraged with Justin Bieber stealing the covenant award 'Artist of The Year,' as well as 'Favorite Pop/Rock Album' causing the band to Trend on twitter third time that weekend.

Yet, when all seemed unfortunate in that Maroon 5 was being robbed from each category, the last nomination: 'Favorite Pop/Rock Band' proved to be astonishingly glorious--Maroon 5 won the award, which tediously was not mentioned until after the show, hence many confused as to if the award aired. It did not.

Regardless: Congrats to Maroon 5 for winning and adding another AMA under their belt! Guitarist James Valentine tweeted shortly after: " Oh cool thanks #AMAs ! Just got off the plane from LAX and I'm not watching yet because I stopped to get tacos..."

We love you James, haha! The next awards show that Maroon 5 is up for are the Grammys, set to air in December. Overexposed has been gaining much critical acclaim, many anticipating for another win, this season.
